Frequently Asked Questions

Is this connected to the Spanish government?

No. Spain Deadline Shield is a private reminder service. We are not affiliated with any Spanish authority (DGT, Hacienda, Ayuntamiento, etc.). We help you stay organised — nothing more, nothing less.

What deadlines can you remind me about?

Common examples include ITV dates, vehicle tax-related deadlines, residency renewals, padrón-related admin, tax filing dates (e.g. quarterly returns), and other renewal or compliance deadlines. You choose what you want tracked.

How will I receive reminders?

All reminders are sent by email. You’ll receive them in advance (not on the day) so you have time to act, book appointments, or gather paperwork.

How far in advance do you remind me?

We send reminders ahead of time so you can actually do something about it. The exact timing depends on the type of deadline, but the goal is always the same: no last-minute surprises.

Do you file paperwork or speak to authorities for me?

No. We don’t contact Spanish authorities or submit paperwork on your behalf. Spain Deadline Shield is a reminder and organisation service — you stay in control and take action when prompted.

Is this legal advice or tax advice?

No. We don’t provide legal, tax, or immigration advice. We help you remember your dates and stay proactive. If you need professional advice, you should speak to a qualified gestor, lawyer, or accountant.

Can I add multiple vehicles, properties, or family members?

Yes. Your annual subscription includes unlimited reminders, so you can track multiple vehicles, properties, and key dates for your household — all under one subscription.

What if my dates change?

No problem. If a deadline changes (new ITV date, renewal date updated, etc.) you can update it so your reminders stay accurate.

What if I miss a reminder email?

First: check spam/junk and add our email to your safe sender list. Also, the whole point of reminders is advance notice — so even if you miss one email, you should still have time before the deadline hits.

Is my data safe?

We only collect what we need to send reminders and keep your deadlines organised. We don’t sell your data. If you ever want your information removed, you can request it.

Who is this for?

Spain Deadline Shield is built for expats who want to avoid fines, stress, and admin surprises — especially those juggling multiple deadlines across different Spanish systems.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. You can cancel during your 14-day free trial. After that, you can cancel before renewal each year so it won’t renew again.

How much does it cost?

It’s €20 per year, with a 14-day free trial so you can try it first. One avoided fine can easily cover the cost.

What happens after I sign up?

You’ll be guided to provide the key dates you want tracked. Once your reminders are set, you’ll start receiving email alerts ahead of time so you can act before deadlines hit.
